Internet of Spice is the official online store for products from Anan Co., Ltd., selling spices, curry powders, tea leaves, and more. The name ‘Internet of Spice’ embodies the concept of ‘internetization of spices’. By introducing spices and recipes, we aim to support those who want to cook and serve food, hoping to bring happiness to both the cooks and those who eat their creations.

About Anan Co., Ltd.

Established 62 years ago. As an authentic spice merchant, we have been proposing curry for 37 years.
We want our current customers, as well as those we will meet in the future, to taste and enjoy spices.
We aim to be a company that listens to many voices and stays close to those who have developed an interest in spices.
Anan’s spices are popular items in many grocery stores. We opened our official online shop, Internet of Spice, out of the desire to ‘reach more people’s hands / make purchasing easier’.

 

Recipe Creation and Spice Blending: Meta Ballatchi

Born in Kamakura in 1984.
Graduated from GSIS (Good Shepherd Int’l School) in Nilgiri, South India, and obtained Cambridge University A Levels at College du Leman in Geneva, Switzerland. Later, studied business administration and cooking in Spain before returning to Japan.

While involved in new product development, naming, and business reform at Anan Co., Ltd., he practices Ayurvedic cooking under his father, Anan Meta, who is from Gujarat, North India. He launched ‘Idou Chai-ya’, a café themed around seasonal vegetables, and is actively expanding his catering business. Additionally, after participating in food distribution efforts in Onagawa Town, Miyagi Prefecture following the 2011 earthquake, he and his friends started the ‘Onagawa Curry Project’ to create local employment and tourism resources.
