The Secret to Its Long-Selling Success
‘You Can Make Delicious Spice Curry Easily and Without Waste’
‘We eat it at home’ ‘I’ve seen it before’
When selling at the store, many people often tell us this when they see the yellow curry books lined up.
From there begins a conversation about the curry at my home.
‘Ours was spicy’ ‘My mother always made it for us’, and so on. It’s an enjoyable moment when family memories and dining table scenes come to mind.
About 40 years ago, when making spice curry at home was almost unheard of.
At a certain food event held in Osaka, the Indian team led by Anan won the gold prize for their 11th dish, ‘Bone-in Chicken Curry, Indian-Inspired Japanese Curry’.
‘Japan has nature like mountains and seas, and abundant seasonal ingredients. All the necessary ingredients for curry are available, so with just spices and a recipe, you can make delicious curry at home’
As a result of this thinking, the Curry Book, which is neither retort nor canned, was introduced to the world.
The book-shaped kit opens up, and inside are single-use spices and a recipe for four servings. All of them can be prepared in about 40 minutes. To make homemade spice curry more enjoyable, various curry books have been created, including chickpea curry, flavors from all over India, biryani, and more.
